Inside Line Promotions – CHILLICOTHE, Ohio (Sept. 18, 2019) – This weekend will be the final trip to Central Pennsylvania and Maryland during Ollie’s Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions competition this season for Greg Wilson.

Wilson and his Hercules Tires, DNC Hydraulics, Ohio Logistics and Gear Off Road backed team will compete with the series on Friday at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pa.; on Saturday at Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pa.; and on Sunday at Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, Md. The weekend begins with a non-sanctioned race on Thursday at BAPS Motor Speedway in York Haven, Pa.

“It’s always good to run against that type of competition in their backyard,” he said. “It gives you a gauge on where you stand and where you need to improve. I’m interested to see if we can put together a solid end to the season. If we could have a couple of good runs in Pennsylvania it’s something to be proud of.”

Wilson enters the weekend ranked sixth in the All Star championship standings. After this weekend there is only one All Star race remaining this season.

Wilson tackled a trio of All Star shows at Atomic Speedway last weekend during the Dean Knittel Memorial. He posted feature results of 12th, 11th and 17th, respectively. His best result came on Friday with a charge from 20th to 11th, which was tied for the most cars passed in the main event.

“Looking back on it all the way back to Labor Day Weekend we had some issues and thought we had it covered,” he said. “We’ve struggled since then. We double and triple-checked some things, but we were missing something. Last weekend we were mediocre on Thursday and didn’t go far enough with the adjustments in the feature. On Friday we had a really good race car until the track took rubber. On Saturday we battled the car all night long. We just have been chasing it. We came home and started checking the frame and some other stuff and realized we had a bigger issue than we thought we had. We didn’t catch it because you had to put straight edges on it.”

The team had the chassis repaired and rebuilt the race car this week in preparation for the four upcoming races.
